Bound by laws Blesses by faith
A Journey of Sleepless Devotion – Documenting a Wedding Like No Other
From mandap to magistrate
Some stories don’t begin with “once upon a time.”
They begin on a sleepless night, on a road stretching from Udaipur to Ahmedabad to Surat. No rest, no pause — just me, my camera, and a commitment to tell a story that truly mattered.
One of my friend was getting married — not in the grand halls of a palace or under fireworks, but in the quiet sanctity of a courtroom and the timeless stillness of a mandir. It was intimate. Raw. Honest. And it carried a different kind of beauty, one I had never witnessed before.
After hours of travel through the night, without a minute of sleep, I found myself witnessing moments that were pure and powerful — eyes filled with love, rituals rich with meaning, and silences that spoke louder than words. There was no elaborate setup, no dramatic lighting, just real emotions and sacred connections.
As a photographer and filmmaker, I’ve always believed in storytelling — in finding the soul of a moment and preserving it. That day, every frame I captured felt like a heartbeat, a breath, a prayer. I wasn't just a documentarian; I was a friend, a witness, a storyteller blessed to be part of something beautifully simple and profoundly human.
This experience reminded me that it’s not always the grand gestures that stay with us, but the quiet, real moments — the ones filled with intention, love, and presence.
This wasn’t just a wedding.
It was a journey.
And I’m grateful to have lived every second of it, even without sleep.
